I can’t keep calm because obviously, it’s the time for the sun to shine brighter, my sunnies to be glossier, my outfits to be lighter, and of course, my heart to be happier. With open arms and a little bow with the hat, let’s welcome the season of ice-creams, colorful umbrellas, sand, and waves…It’s summertime!
Oh! Don’t you feel overwhelmed with all the vibrant colors around? the florals, the stripes, the loose, the strappy…summers come not just with tropical vibes and laid-back feel…they come with ‘options’. P.S. It’s time to get those skirts and halter neck tops back from their surreptitious hiding.
My affinity towards t-shirt dresses and a complete casual take on styling along with keeping it edgy is no secret. If you’ve noticed, I like to dress in a way most people can relate to and style themselves easily.
My summer began with this t-shirt dress which looks super sporty yet a suitable pick for a day out with friends. (I love weekend brunch scenes, and what better than wearing the most comfortable and smart dress from your closet).
This blue fitted dress with white and red bands gives a very flattering look. The material is stretchable which guarantees a smarter fit than the usual loose or straight cut. Who wouldn’t fancy the sight of white sneakers on a casual dress? I love experimenting with my hair (thankfully the volume allows me to keep trying different looks), a messy fishtail braid and later open hair added to the easy-going avatar.
The rose gold and blue Michael Kors watch is my all-time favorite, though the size of the dial might not appeal to many, there’s something about huge round watches which attracts me. A casual orange-red tote from Gucci complemented the stripes on the dress. A summer essential reflector from Ray-Ban completed the overall look. Skipping accessories was a move to break attention from unwanted elements and keep it minimalistic.
Makeup is extremely sober and nude; a light base, nude pink tone lips, minimal blush to enhance the cheeks, shaped brows, and basic eyes.
Summers allow the ease of dressing up the way you want and finally wear all that you splurged in winter. (I’m sure most of us impulsively shopped summer wear during winters too).
Stay summery, stay stylish!
